Vineyard 2121 began with a shared passion between husband and wife, Jeffrey and Deborah Pallas, and their love of quality wine. Jeff and Deb are both local Southwest Michiganders who wanted to bring a new business and tourism to their community. Their goal was to create a destination getaway that invites you to a enjoy a relaxing day with friends and family, and even make new friends along the way!
After Jeff spent 35 years in the landscaping industry, and Deborah spent most of her life working in hospitality and helping manage various businesses, the duo decided it was time to combine their skills and love for entertaining others by opening a winery. The vineyard was purchased in 2009. The abandoned juice grapes were replaced with wine grapes, and a few acres of raspberries were planted. The Pallas family sold the raspberries at local farmers markets as a cash crop until the grapes matured for their first harvest in 2012. The Pallas family kept the environment in mind as they designed the tasting room and farm, winning them Berrien County Conservation Farm of the Year in 2014.
